Policies that keep our support clear.
This page outlines the privacy, website use, enrollment, payment, cancellation, and service terms that apply when using Boost Learning Academy’s website and academic support services.
General overview.
Boost Learning Academy provides online academic support, including small-group tutoring, one-on-one tutoring, exam preparation, academic resources, and related parent communication.
These legal terms apply to users of the website, parents or guardians submitting learner information, learners using the academy’s services, and individuals interacting with academy resources or registration forms.
Privacy Policy.
Boost Learning Academy collects personal and academic information to respond to enquiries, process registrations, communicate with parents or guardians, place learners into appropriate support structures, manage payments, and provide tutoring services.
Information we may collect
- Parent or guardian name, surname, phone number, email address, and relationship to the learner.
- Learner name, surname, date of birth, grade, curriculum, school information, and contact details where provided.
- Academic information such as selected subjects, current marks, target marks, report cards, academic concerns, and exam dates.
- Payment information such as proof of payment, payment reference, package selected, and account-related communication.
- Website enquiry details submitted through forms or direct communication channels.
How we use information
Information is used for learner placement, registration processing, communication, lesson scheduling, payment confirmation, academic support planning, and internal administration.
Protection of personal information
Boost Learning Academy aims to handle personal information responsibly and in line with South African data protection principles, including reasonable care, limited access, and use for legitimate academy purposes.
Forms, documents and academic records.
When a parent, guardian, or learner submits a registration form, enquiry form, report card, proof of payment, or other document, they confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
Report cards
Report cards may be used to understand learner performance and recommend an appropriate support path.
Proof of payment
Payment proof is used to confirm registration and first-month tuition where applicable.
Documents submitted to the academy should not include unnecessary sensitive information unless it is relevant to the learner’s academic support, registration, or account administration.
Payments and registration fees.
A registration fee of R240 may apply when a learner registers with Boost Learning Academy. This fee is non-refundable and may renew annually, depending on the enrollment arrangement.
Unless the academy confirms otherwise, proof of payment uploaded during registration should show the full amount required to begin lessons: the R240 registration fee plus the first month’s tuition based on the selected package and subjects.
Monthly tuition is generally paid in advance to secure the learner’s place. Failure to make payment on time may affect lesson access, class placement, or continued enrollment.
Attendance, cancellation and rescheduling.
Client cancellation and rescheduling
The daily cut-off time for all schedule changes is 10:00 AM on the day of the session.
- Advance notice before 10:00 AM: No penalty. The session may be rescheduled to a new slot where availability allows.
- Late cancellation after 10:00 AM: Any request received after 10:00 AM is treated as a late cancellation. The client may be liable for 50% of the session fee to cover the time reserved.
Tutor attendance
If a tutor is ill or has an emergency, the tutor or academy will communicate as early as possible and offer alternative arrangements where feasible.
If a tutor is late, they are expected to communicate and make up the lost time where possible. If a tutor fails to attend a session without notice, the affected session will be rescheduled free of charge.
Termination of services.
Either party may end the tutoring arrangement with 30 days’ written notice. If less than 30 days’ notice is given, an early termination fee equivalent to the R240 registration fee may apply.
Learners continuing tuition past October may be liable for December tuition under the Head Start Programme. If a learner terminates in November, the parent or guardian may remain responsible for 75% of the tuition fees for the remaining period. This excludes Grade 12 learners.
Academic results and limitation of liability.
Boost Learning Academy provides academic support, explanations, practice, guidance, and tutoring services. However, specific grade improvements or final examination results cannot be guaranteed.
Learner results depend on various factors, including attendance, effort, school assessments, study routine, learner participation, parental support, and external academic conditions.
The academy is not liable for final school results, examination outcomes, missed school deadlines, or learner performance where factors beyond the academy’s reasonable control affect the outcome.
Website terms of use.
The content on this website is provided for general information about Boost Learning Academy, its services, packages, resources, and registration process.
- Website content may be updated, removed, or changed without prior notice.
- Pricing, packages, availability, and tutor placement may change depending on academy capacity and operational needs.
- Resources made available through the website or Student Hub are intended for authorised learner use only.
- Users may not copy, redistribute, sell, or misuse academy resources without permission.
Submitting a website form does not automatically guarantee enrollment, class placement, tutor availability, or lesson access. Placement remains subject to confirmation by the academy.
Most concerns should be resolved through clear communication.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to communicate concerns early, especially around scheduling, payments, learner progress, or tutor fit.
Raise the concern clearly.
Send the relevant details so the academy can understand the issue and respond appropriately.
Allow reasonable review.
Some matters require checking attendance, payment records, tutor availability, or communication history.
Seek fair resolution.
If unresolved through friendly negotiation, disputes may be submitted to arbitration in accordance with South African law.
Legal clarity protects both the learner and the academy.
These terms are intended to create clear expectations before academic support begins and to guide fair communication throughout the tutoring relationship.
