Start with a conversation.
Tell us about the learner and we will tell you plainly whether we can help. Every enquiry is read and answered by a person — usually within one working day.
Three reasons to write
Tutoring for a learner
The most common. Send us the grade, the subject and what is going wrong, and we will recommend a package and a tutor.
Applying to tutor
We appoint continuously from South Africa's leading universities. Tell us what you are reading and which subjects you could teach.
An existing enrolment
Questions about fees, scheduling or a change to an active placement. Use Manage enrolment if it is administrative.
Before you write
Questions we are asked most.
If your question is here, you have your answer without waiting for a reply. If it is not, or you want to talk it through properly, write to us above.
What does tutoring cost?
Group tutoring starts at R480 per subject per month, and one-on-one at R900 per subject per month. Exam intensives are quoted against the learner's exam dates. There is a R240 annual registration fee per learner.
Full detail is on Packages & Fees.
How many learners are in a class?
Group classes are capped at eight, without exception. If a class is full we open another rather than make it nine.
Which curriculums do you teach?
CAPS, IEB, SACAI and Cambridge. Tutors are matched to curriculum before subject, because the same topic is examined differently across them.
Do you teach my child's subject?
We teach eight subjects: Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Science, Life Science, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies and English. Grades 4 to 12, depending on the subject.
See Subjects for grade ranges.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. There is no fixed term. Fees are monthly in advance, and you may stop at the end of any month with one calendar month's written notice. Stopping without that notice attracts a R240 cancellation fee.
Do we receive a progress report?
Termly written reports are included with one-on-one tuition and exam intensives. Group tutoring does not include a report.
How do the lessons actually run?
Online, weekly, in fixed slots agreed at placement. Learners keep the same tutor for as long as the placement is working.
What if the tutor is not a good fit?
Tell us and we will change them, at no cost. Continuity matters, but not more than progress — you are never asked to persist with a placement that is not working.
